New gardening pruner multi-tool from Leatherman is a cut above
April, 2006, Portland, OR - When Leatherman Tool Group introduced the first multi-tool in 1983, the idea quickly caught on, with the company developing more than 20 unique and popular models over the years. Most recently Leatherman has expanded its product line to include tools for gardeners starting with the new Leatherman Hybrid - a pruner with multi-tool functionality.
The first combination tool of this caliber, the Hybrid is ideal for gardeners looking to free up space and cut out unnecessary time spent searching for individual tools. Stainless steel bypass pruners deliver a quick cut every time and offer a wide opening for larger branches. A pruner sap groove prevents buildup and non-slip handles and well-placed bumpers provide a comfortable, solid grip that helps reduce hand-fatigue.
Expertly engineered, the finger placement hold on the bark lifter/grafting tool is perfect for precision cutting. An open-tooth saw design resists "filling up" and is corrosion resistant for use in damp environments. Additional features include a sprinkler head tool, weed remover, wire cutters, Phillips and flat screwdrivers, bottle opener, and ruler.
Leatherman tools are made with the highest quality components and to the most exacting specifications, and the Hybrid is no exception. Putting convenient, high-quality, multi-tool capabilities at the user's fingertips, the user-friendly design provides quick, safe access the tools and easy placement into an apron or the included nylon sheath.
The Hybrid will be available online and in stores nationwide spring 2006, just in time for Mother's Day. Suggested retail price is $75.00.
