Crew Leader
Hi, I work for a public agency, and I've carried my Leatherman tool every day since I began working for this agency. I find my Leatherman tool essential for work. I constantly use my Leatherman to repair and adjust sprinklers. Over the years I have trained many new hires, and have used the Leatherman tool to show them how to repair and adjust sprinklers. Many of them wish that it was a tool that this agency provides because of its helpfulness, but because the Leatherman is not considered a necessity and due to the cost, it is not a tool provided by supervisors.
I have always said that when I get promoted I would supply a Leatherman to everyone working under me. Four years ago I was promoted; since then I have been able to provide everyone on my crew with a Leatherman. In order to do this, I had to justify to my supervisor how productive our crew would be having this type of tool. Now all my guys carry their personal Leatherman tool.
