Leatherman Saved My Life

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.

Gotta Love a Leatherman

I have always been a fan of multi-function pocket knives, but never did any of them match my Leatherman Blast. My first Leatherman came with a CERT pack I received when I was helping to start a Community Emergency Response Team in my county. The pack contained a brand new Kick. I'd heard about Leatherman multi-tools but never thought I'd need one. Within a week of discovering my Kick, I couldn't understand how I'd gotten along without one. From random household repairs, to work on the community garden, to an assortment of other uses, my Kick always seemed to offer the best solution. I work as a marketing manager, yet still wore my Kick on my belt despite quizzical stares in meetings and in the halls. But on several occasions it came in handy even at the office.

When my son was began Scouts this year, I checked the Leatherman website for recommendations on a multi-tool that would suit him, and lo and behold, the Leatherman recommended for Scouts was the Kick... So instead I began researching for a new Leatherman for myself. After reading several reviews, the Blast seemed the one for me. When it arrived in the mail I reluctantly, but happily, gave my trusty Kick to my son. Now both he and I are Leatherman fans. And my new Blast? On my belt every day right next to my Blackberry. And I don't mind in the least when someone calls me down to their office, not to discuss marketing plans or balance sheets, but rather to help them mount a picture on the wall or open a stubborn box. Thank you Leatherman for making such a terrific tool!
