I got my first Leatherman Wave just last week, and today it snowed 15 inches in Boulder, CO. I was riding with a colleague to work, when we were called off for the day. A friend asked us over for breakfast and we spent the next couple of hours warming up and visiting. When we tried to drive away, however, her SUV started spinning its wheels: it had snowed onto existing ice. We were going nowhere fast. I took out my Wave and deployed the serrated blade. Man, this is a solid, solid tool. I was able to chop and cut and chip through the ice in front of the rear tires, and in less than five minutes we were on our way. I wouldn't have tried this with a less sturdy tool. Thanks, Leatherman!
