10 of Them
I am an inspection Engineer in Oil Refineries. I don't think there is a single place harder on tools than a refinery. The equipment runs as hot as 1800 degrees F skin temp and the out side temp can be as cold as 30 degrees f below O degrees, it is a harsh work enviroment. The demand I have on my tools is high. Leatherman has stood up tp the test of time. I currrently have 10 different ones in the rotation. Each one has its specific job. Sometimes they brake but you guys have always held up your end of the deal. I have to register them all, I havent yet because I am so busy but I will do it.
I currently own 20 different tools from Knifes which hold the best edge ever to multi tools I use at work, home and in the truck. I build big trucks for a hobby and in every tool box aNS IN EVERY GLOVE BOX IS A LEATHERMAN. When I sell the truck it comes with the leatherman in the glove box to pass on the name that has held up.
The only complaint that I have withLeatherman is that the USA stamp is off the tool. YOur company should be proud to put that stamp on you tools. I am proud to show off the ones that do. In these time of economic struggles your company should employ the old Statagy, built, made and with pride in the USA, so th whole world knows where the tool came from with pride. I know it may be cheaper to get parts made in mexico, but I know people like my self would pay the differance. I garuntee that if you had that big old Sticker back on the packaging and the tool stamped with THE USA brand mor people would buy them.
Keep the money in the USA. That is the only complaint I have. I also believe the ones with the stamp hold up to the test of work better that the ones not stamped with the USA. MAybe I am partial but thats what I see from use. As I said I own a lot of them. and I ahve bught more than I own. Gerber has nothing on you other than the USA stamp. Bring that stamp back top your company and I gauereentee with the right promotion watch your sales increase 10 fold, especialy in these times we live, people are looking for this, Guys who work for a living want to support companies that 100% support the USA. GOD bless everyone at your company and bring back the only thing I can see wrong with your new tools.
