After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed
cancer in women in the United States. While breast cancer can occur in both men
and women, it's far more common in women.
In recent years, the public support for breast cancer awareness
and more research funding have both helped improve the diagnosis and treatment
of breast cancer. Thanks to a number of factors such as earlier detection, new
treatments and a better understanding of the disease the number of deaths have
been on the decline. Still though, about 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop
invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime; and for us here at
Leatherman that's one too many.
We want to do our part and we need your help. Leatherman is
introducing the "Pink Program." A line of products dedicated to raising funds
for cancer research and awareness. A portion of the sales from each of these
products will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, an
organization dedicated to the further research and awareness for breast cancer.
If you don't see these "Pink Program" products where you shop, we encourage you
to ask your retailer to stock them in addition to their normal Leatherman
selection; helping to make this opportunity to support available to all.
