Warranty

We take extraordinary measures so that your Leatherman product will give you many years of dependable service. If it doesn't, we will gladly repair or replace it, with one of equal or greater value (if your product has been retired) under our 25-year guarantee for tools and 10-year guarantee for lights. This warranty does not cover abuse, alteration, theft, loss, or unauthorized and/or unreasonable use of your Leatherman product. This warranty does not cover sheaths, accessories, imprinting, color finishes, cleaning, or sharpening.

Leatherman Tool Group is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Return Information

If you are in Canada or the United States and you’d like to send a tool in for warranty repair, please read and complete the following steps.

Package the Tool Securely

For US customers we ship your tool back to you using UPS so we can track and insure your package. We will make an exception for APO addresses. For this reason, if you send us a PO Box we cannot ship your tool back to you.

For Canadian customers, your tool will be shipped back to you at our expense using Xpresspost and they accept both PO Box and street addresses.

So we can return your tool as quickly as possible, please write legibly and include the following information in your package:

  • Your name
  • Phone number
  • Return address
  • A brief description of all the problems
  • DO NOT SHIP US YOUR SHEATH

Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for tools that never reach us. If you use UPS your package is automatically insured up to $100. We recommend using UPS instead of the Post Office because they cannot track a lost package directly to Leatherman, only to the local Post Office branch.

Besides fixing your documented problem, we will ship your tool back to you at our expense using UPS for US customers and Xpresspost for customers in Canada. Please see above for more details.
