When Leatherman made the Charge TTi, they combined all of the most requested features into one functional tool. The TTi's premium comfort-sculpted titanium handle scales and an S30V® stainless steel clip-point knife to really take this multi-tool to the next level. Who says a multi-tool can't be sexy?

Charge® TTi Tools

  1. Needlenose Pliers

A cast pinching tool with an angled nose for holding or manipulating materials, ideal for small objects or tight spaces.

  2. Regular Pliers

A cast pinching tool for holding or manipulating materials.

  3. Hard-wire Cutters

Bypassing cutting blades ideal for cutting hard wire.

  4. Wire Cutters

420 HC stainless steel bypass cutting blades, meant for cutting regular-gauge wire.

  5. Crimper

This tool allows for easy crimping for general purpose use, such as wire work.

  6. Wire Stripper

A useful notch for safely stripping multiple types of wire.

  7. S30V Knife

A knife made with S30V, a powder-made stainless steel with exceptional corrosion resistance made especially for knives. S30V blades hold an edge approximately six times longer than 420 stainless steel.

  8. 420HC Serrated Knife

A toothed blade crafted from 420HC stainless steel. Serrations grab and cut materials easily, making this style of blade exceptionally useful for cutting through rope or fiber.

  9. Saw

A toothed tool made from 420HC stainless steel that is designed to work on a pull motion, which requires less effort and has less propensity for breakage. The open-tooth design keeps the saw from filling up with material, allowing the user to complete a job without pausing to clean the tool.

  10. Spring-action Scissors

Scissors for cutting paper or other light materials that automatically spring back to the open position when not being used. Sprung tools are helpful for reducing hand-fatigue, especially in scissors where the user may be opening and closing the tool many times to make multiple cuts in a row.

  11. Cutting Hook

An all purpose cutting tool for safely cutting tape, cord, tape, seatbelts and other materials.

  12. Ruler (8 in | 19 cm)

A precise measuring guide for determining length in inches or centimeters, up to 8 inches or 19 centimeters.

  13. Can Opener

A lever/punch style tool to assist in opening canned goods, perfect for camping or in survival situations. The blade on this tool has been ground in a way that it pushes the cut metal into the rim, keeping sharp edges from cutting the user as the can is handled.

  14. Bottle Opener

A tool that allows the user to pop the top on a favorite beverage.

  15. Wood/Metal File

A 420HC stainless steel tool with a crisscross pattern that forms a rough surface for the user to file or smooth both wood and metal surfaces. The file pattern on Leatherman files is extended to the end of the file as well as down the side to give a file stoke and/or a more precise file edge.

  16. Diamond-coated File

A stainless steel blank coated with premium synthetic diamond particles which create a rough surface that can be used to sharpen hard steel blades with much more precision than wood/metal files.

  17. Large Bit Driver

This driver slot holds any of the full-size Leatherman tool bits in place and allows the user to exchange bits for different jobs. Not intended for the eyeglass screwdriver tip.

  18. Small Bit Driver

This small driver slot holds the Leatherman mini tool bit in place and allows the user to use either end of the bit for different jobs. It is not intended for use with full-size screwdriver bits.

  19. Medium Screwdriver

A flat bladed screwdriver tooled from 420HC stainless steel, intended for use on medium slotted screws.

Charge® TTi Features

  1. All Locking Features

All locking features means that every tool and knife on the body of the handle, with the exception of the plier head, will lock into place. Note that the Crunch; however, does feature both all locking tools and plier head. The all locking design enables the user to operate individual tools safely and effectively. By locking them into place when fully open, the user can put pressure on the implement while safely completing the job, before manually unlocking the tool to stow it away.

  2. Lanyard Ring

This secure ring is for attaching the tool safely and securely to a lanyard. Often people who work near water or on scaffolding attach their tool to a lanyard on their person to avoid losing the tool if it's dropped.

  3. Replaceable Pocket Clip & Quick-release Lanyard Ring

An accessory set that includes a removable clip, which allows the user to wear their multi-tool attached to a pocket or belt loop, and a removable quick-release lanyard ring, which allows for attachment to a lanyard. Often people who work near water or on scaffolding attach their tool to a lanyard on their person to avoid losing the tool if it's dropped.

  4. Outside-accessible Features

This multi-tool features tools that are accessible while the tool is in its folded or closed position, mimicking the functionality of a pocket knife.

  5. One-hand Operable Features

Every feature on this tool can be opened and operated with one hand. This enables the user to keep the other hand free for situations that require multi-tasking or a free hand.

    Comments about Charge TTi:

Bought two of these. One for me and one for my brother who is a large animal vet. We're both very satisfied users. The tool enables me to perform almost any kind of MRO on the equipment in the Analytical Chemistry Lab I'm working in. Including vacuum pump, gas delivery systems, elemental analyzer and mass spectrometry equipment maintenance. An essential extension of my working hand. I highly recommend getting one.

      Comments about Charge TTi:

The best multi-tool available. The S30V straight blade holds an edge for longer than any of the 440 stainless available on other multi-tools. The quality and durability of the Charge TTi is also above par. I have beaten and abused my Leatherman tools, I don't own them to look at, and they hold up better than other multi-tools I have owned. The features on this particular model fit my needs more so than other tools offered from Leatherman or competitors. There is rarely a day which I do not use my Leatherman and there has been more than one occasion which a Leatherman tool has literally saved my life.

      Comments about Charge TTi:

I have a Leatherman Charge TTi Camo from Cabela's that I bought 6 years ago and I compared it to this model that I bought from Knifeworks. The S30V blade of my new Charge TTi seems to bind and does not open smoothly even after I oiled it. The older one was very smooth out of the box. I also have a Skeletool CX that I bought last month and its blade action is very smooth out of the box too. It appears that the quality went down a bit on the new model Charge TTi.

And then the detachable clip on my new Charge TTi has side to side movement as opposed to my older Charge's very solid pocket clip. Again, quality is not what I came to expect from Leatherman.

Other than these two glitches, my new model Charge TTi is still a good product. I especially like the design where the blades lock and can be accessed without opening the handles. I also think Leatherman can improve it further by using 154CM steel on the wire cutters like the Super Tool 300 and more importantly by tightening Quality Control.

As a cinematographer, I work on the film sets a lot. We have lots of gear from cameras to lights to tripods, etc. All of them have different screws and bolts and tiny places that fingers can not easily get to. Having a tool like this is an ultimate must have. Add on the bit extender and a few of the other bit accessories and you have tools that will let you work on just about any camera, dolly, lights, rig that you may have. I can't tell you how many times my crew comes to me because I always have the tool that we need. As a colleague of mine said, "Adrian is always prepared. "

              Comments about Charge TTi:

I bought the Charge TTI because my pocket knife disappeared and I had been wanting a fully reatured multitool for every day carry.

The good new: This thing is built like a tank. Very solid. The tools all lock into place and I found myself using it almost every day (much to my surprise). I have used almost every tool on it and it's only been a month. The knife blades came very sharp with a clean, bur-free edge. One-handed opening is really nice.

The only cons I can think of are it's big and heavy, but not overly so. I used the included pocket clip and stuck in in my back pocket. It's big, but I find mself forgeting it's on most of the time. It's not obtrusive or too heavy.

After owning one I wouldn't be without one in the future.

the tool needed some lubrication used wd40 didn't work well used dawn soap worked great. The nylon case fits both the tool and the led lenser m5, and the tool bits that came with it, could use better Velcro on the closer flap and fill up the bit holder with more stuff, bottom line completely satisified.

                            Comments about Charge TTi:

Really pleased with my Leatherman Charge TTi. Not sure why everyone blasts the weight, 8.2 oz.is not heavy. My bulky car keys weight more than that! :) It carry's well in my pocket and the weight distribution is perfect. I don't carry the sheath which will defiantly add weight to the feel. The included clip makes it easy to put inside your pocket, with everything except dress pants all you have to do is clip it on the pocket with the bulk inside. If you have dress pants, I have found that if I do the same clip using my back pocket, I don't even notice its there. Even when I sit down it is off to the side with not discomfort. If I am going to need a driver to reach into deep areas I go get a screwdriver but for the occasional driver need this Charge TTi does the job. The price is expensive but the quality and long term use expectation makes it worth every penny. It is something I plan on passing down to my grandson one day.

                            Comments about Charge TTi:

I received a Leatherman Wave as a Christmas gift years ago. It was a very high quality tool and I have carried and used it virtually every day since. Even though the Wave was still doing everything I asked of it, I thought it was time to upgrade to the Charge tti. My expectation for the tti was very high based on the quality and performance of my trusty old Wave.
The main blade on the tti could not be opened with one hand because putting side pressure on the blade caused it to catch on a piece inside. The top corner of one of the blades had a burr on it- not sharp enough to cut myself on, but clearly not 'finished'.
I used a rotary tool to remove about 20 thousands from the piece inside to allow the blade to open correctly and finish the job of smoothing on the back of the blade. When I spend that kind of money on a 'jackknife', I really don't expect to have to repair it before I can use it.
My new opinion of Leatherman is: It's another one of those companies that used to make really good stuff but is now content to live on their name.

Very nice, the only minor problems i have is that some of the tools are difficult to deploy, they had no oil, very gritty feeling, bad idea i had to use CLP lube, also the little loop thing that is displayed next to the scissor in your pictures is stuck inside my handle and there seems to be no way to deploy it, the locking bar is blocking the way and the ruler does that on the other side, at least i got a detachable loop too
                                  Very nice locks, clip, pliers
I could have done without that other knife with the mangled saw like edge and gut hook
Recommend you round off the back of the real saw like you did with the knives, it chafes a bit

it is a little heavy but for what i am carrying its no problem getting used to it.
keeps my from walking to tool box to get a screwdriver for a small adjustment
dont have to get up from creeper to get another size tool or knife

                                      Comments about Charge TTi:

This is my second Letherman. I had one of their early tools and wore it out at work after about 15 years of use. I eventually lost my original and have replaced it with a new Charge Tti. I work on ships and a multi tool is a must have has there is always something to fix onboard. These tools are bullet proof. I wouldn't buy anything else. That old saying, "you get what you pay for," applies to these tools in spades. Well worth the money. I hope toget another 15 years out of my new Charge Tti.

                                      Comments about Charge TTi:

I use my Charge TTI daily for many uses around the shop at work, and various projects at home. I cut welding wire, tin banding, electrical wiring and everything in between with the wire cutters. The cuts are always clean and don't seem to put any wear on the cutters, even after heavy use. The scissors are razor sharp, and despite looking flimsy, are stout enough to cut many materials that Leatherman probably never intended for them to. The S30V knife blade is insane in terms of edge retention, but will chip easily while the edge is still new if it comes in contact with other metal! The tool is tough enough to hold up not only to it's intended functions, but also the other…"unconventional" uses I find for it. I have pried open wooden crates with the fixed screw driver blade and cut tin with the wire cutters, the Charge takes it all! As I sit trying to think of criticisms, the only suggestions I can think of are to make the pliers spring loaded, design the bit driver to accept a standard 1/4" hex (it strikes me as little more than a cash grab from customers who are already willing to pay top dollar for you high end products), an put a thumb knick on the can/bottle opener (I usually have to use my flat screw driver bit to get it out). All-in-all the Charge TTI is the king of medium to full size multi tools!

                                      Comments about Charge TTi:

This is a great tool. I've carried mine off and on duty for 5 years. It's been there when I needed a tool quickly. The quality is great. Its a nice size to carry daily and isn't overwhelming in weight. I find the bits to be extra handy and since there are endless bits available you can carry ones you mostly use. The tool comes with a bit holder that fits nicely in the sheath so you always have at least 10 bits on your person and the fact that they are double sided makes it more like 20 bits. The handles are contoured just enough to make the tool feel comfortable in the hand. Its nice to have two blades available to open one handed without having to open the whole tool itself. Having a clip carry option is very nice. This tool isn't to large that it wouldn't carry nicely in the pocket.

When everything though there are cons. I believe a few changes to this tool would make it perfect. One being, is that it needs replaceable wire cutters. The standard ones aren't tough enough for the heavy wire. Also the blade liners need to be a little thicker and would work smoother if they actually had real detents not protruding steel detents that are a part of the liner that they are currently using.

Other than those two things this is a great Everyday Muti-Tool that will serve you well.

                                        Comments about Charge TTi:

I used to landscape for a living and the leatherman I carried at the time was the Charge ALX. It was by far the most important item I carried everyday. Its size, the tool range it offered, and the durability against everyday abuse was outstanding. It was lost one day on a job site and I never saw it again. Now that I have the TTi the additional scissors and titanium makes it better than ever. I'll be sure not to let this one out of my sight!

Thanks Leatherman for making a reliable product.
