All Locking Features
All locking features means that every tool and knife on the body of the handle, with the exception of the plier head, will lock into place. Note that the Crunch; however, does feature both all locking tools and plier head. The all locking design enables the user to operate individual tools safely and effectively. By locking them into place when fully open, the user can put pressure on the implement while safely completing the job, before manually unlocking the tool to stow it away.
This secure ring is for attaching the tool safely and securely to a lanyard. Often people who work near water or on scaffolding attach their tool to a lanyard on their person to avoid losing the tool if it's dropped.

Had to return it as it couldn't be used. The tool was so "stiff" it wouldn't open. I had to pry it open with another tool. I worked it back and forth for quite some time but it was still too stiff to open without the assistance of another tool and use once opened. What ever happened to quality control?? This tool should have never left the factory.

Comments about Rebar:
I bought my first leatherman about 25 years ago and while the blades have gone dull and the wire cutters are shot the quality of the tool was far superior to the equivalent tool (Rebar) I just bought. Leatherman has decided to really cut corners since 25 years ago unfortunately. The metal does not have that heavy feel anymore like a durable tool should have. The tools themselves don't pull out our push in smoothly like they used to. Even the leather holder was changed to thin, stiff, lesser quality leather. I was surprised at how leatherman cut corners and really disappointed.
