I bought a Charge TTi few months ago. First for my dad, on Fathers Day. And I couldn't resist buying one for myself also. It came in handy many times, fixing stuff at home, but I didn't suppose it will help me to be a doctor for myself. Last week I cut my left hand middle finger badly, cutting a joint, nerve... blood everywhere, from quite a small cut. I went to the doctor, and he put stitches in the wound. All was fine, untill I went there again for a check, after two days. I live in Poland, and sadly we have pretty bad healthcare. Receptionist has told me, that to see the surgeon I need to see GP doctor first and get a referral. To do that, I should have a special regional insurance card. Which I hadn't applied for yet, as I have moved to this region of Poland recently. And it would take time. Not one day for sure, knowing procedures here. That was enough for me. Let's Charge, it was my thought. And I did. I have checked the cut - it was healing nice, only the stitches were cutting into the skin. Today, after one week, it was the right time to remove them. Charge appeared to be pretty handy to assist the operation actively. :) With the help of my knife, Charge's small screwdriver, scissors and pliers all the job was done in less than 10 minutes. I have followed my plan, that I've made before that, to avoid any part of stitches being left in my skin. Now I'm free again! No stitches, all is healing well. And I will have to think about the OHT, it would certainly have some advantages in such cases. Thank you Leatherman, happy to be a part of the family.
