Leatherman Down Under in NZ
The world known, grand multi tool has made its way into my pocket in New Zealand to keep warm during the days (New Zealand is located slightly south from Australia for those not certain about its location). My Christmas present was the Wave last year which I received with open hands from my unsuspecting girlfriend after strategic hinting.
After hearing about the countless excursions your tools were found on I was ready to own my own. Its first real excursion was during a swimming trip which was turning exponentially sour. First things first, this beach is highly populated during the summer season as it is a special reserve where you are able to swim with tropical fish. Once the 3 of us arrived (after hours of driving for my mate’s birthday), we went to get changed and realized the car we took had an electronic key (terribly cleaver on our part). Since we had two electrical engineers soon to be (currently studying at the University of Auckland) among us, instantly we dove into a deep discussion trying to find a solution when it came to me. We used the Leatherman to dismantle the car key removing all electronic components and locking them in the car while taking the physical key with us tied into our shorts. The Wave saved the day, later solving the next problem where we were faced with a cake and no eating utensils, the serrated knife making short work of the thick chocolate icing on the car boot.
The moral of my story, for those who have trouble being organized, any Leatherman tool will make short work of any challenges or scenarios you might be faced with. Later that year both my girlfriend (who literally melted when I got her the purple Juice XE6) and my mate ended up with a Leatherman to call their own.

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
