Every Woman Should Have a Micra
This past summer, I went backpacking, hiking and camping with a good friend in the Wallowa Mountains in Oregon. Her father had lent me his blue Leatherman Micra for the trip, and I'd been told that it would be extremely useful. I believed that it had been useful for him, but wasn't convinced that the same would be true for me. How wrong I was.
During the week-long trip, I used it to cut my food, my fingernails and firewood; tweeze my eyebrows; pick splinters out of my skin; open beer bottles; and fix broken camping equipment. And its usefulness didn't wear out after I returned to the city. Just this morning, I used it to fix a broken zipper on my couch cushion and the sliding door to my balcony. Last week, I even wrapped a gift in the car on the highway using the spring action scissors. It's also great for pruning the herbs and flowers I grow on my balcony.
It's a tool that becomes addictively useful before you even know what's happening, and you don't need to be Survivor Man to make good use of it.
