It Can Cut Seatbelts and Fingernails

I have owned the same Leatherman Micra for several years now. I take it everywhere with me. It's always in my purse, camera case, or backpack, and even the pocket of my jacket when I snowmobile.

Sunday, December 30th, 2007 I had it in my backpack ready to head up the mountain to the snow. On the drive we stopped to assist at the scene of a car accident. I was so glad I had my Leatherman Micra with me. That scissor tool allowed me to cut the seatbelt and shoulder belt on the passenger, who was trapped in the vehicle, without harming her.

Later, when we had done all we could at the accident scene, and left the rest to the professionals, I used the nail file to fix a nail I had broken while assisting at the accident as well as using the tweezers to remove a small piece of broken glass in my finger. If that isn't versatile I don't know what is!!!!!

Thanks for making such a great product. It’s a gift I will give to the people I love in the first aid kits I am making for them to carry in their cars. I'm also a Red Cross volunteer, and I'm going to recommend them to everyone on my team as a vital part of their kits. Keep up the good work!

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
