No Fire Wood Without the Leatherman Super Tool
While camping in the Minnesota BWCA the rear rivet holding the wood blade to our buck saw broke. And, as anyone that has camped in the boundary water canoe area knows, if you are going to have a fire of any substantial size you must cut fallen logs into pieces and then split them with an axe. So without a functioning buck saw we would not have a fire.
After much searching, my brother and I found a nail laying on the ground. It just happened that the nail fit the rivet hole, but we had no way to bending the nail so that it wouldn't keep from falling out. As is stood we were / are both strong supporters and users of our Leatherman Super Tools. We used them while working in the construction trades and we both had brought our Super Tools with us on this remote camping trip. Needless to say together we replaced the nail in the rivet location and with our Leatherman Super Tools bent the nail in a circle so tight that the wood blade actually fit as if it was riveted and to this day the nail has never been replaced - 10 years later. I and my brother never go camping or hunting without a Leatheman Super Tool.

Tell Us Your Tale
OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
