Train Hard
After borrowing my brother's original WAVE for about a year he finally asked for it back. So I had to dig into my wallet and buy one of my own. Now, this isn't one of those exciting stories of how I used my WAVE to save a dying deer fawn who had been shot by a hunter or how I built a shelter using only the screwdriver on my WAVE, but it did save a day of training.
I am a police academy firearms instructor who was putting on an instructor's course for new trainers. We use steel targets that need to be assembled with 1/2 in bolts. After a week of getting ready for the range I forgot my wrenches to assemble the targets. The other instructor looked into his truck and pulled out one 1/2 wrench. Thank goodness! Except that, we needed two to apply counter torque on the bolt while he turned the nut. Leatherman to the rescue! Using the pliers to my WAVE I was able to hold the bolt in place while I drove the nut using the wrench. I know this doesn't sound too exciting but it saved me a day of training, which for those of us in law enforcement, can save a life.
Thank you Leatherman.

Tell Us Your Tale
OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
