Longtime Companion
I got my first Leatherman tool by redeeming Marlboro miles. At that time it was called the Leatherman tool. It was the only variation available. I had carried cub scout knives, Boy Scout knives and Swiss army knives since I was eight years old. The Leatherman tool was so well made and useful that I was very impressed by it. I used it for fishing, camping, to tighten loose screws and numerous other tasks.
Unfortunately, it disappeared, so I immediately went out and purchased a replacement (the same tool and still the only version available). I still have that tool, though it is retired. Since then I have purchased fourteen Micras, a Wave, two Kicks, and a Blast, as well as a Gerber, Buck, Schrade, and Victorinox Multi tool. Though some of these others have good points, none compare to the quality and craftsmanhip of the Leatherman products. I always have a Micra in my pocket, a Kick in my tackle box and on my bicycle, and a Wave in my car console. Thank you for making a qualityand versatile "long time companion".
