Early Morning
I live in northern Indiana and this time of year the deer are on the move. Consequently the number of deer vehicle accidents dramatically increases as well. I travel rural roads to work and as you’ve probably already guessed this morning I hit a doe as she tried to race across the road in front of me. The impact smashed the front passenger side of my Jeep’s bumper into the wheel well, wedging the plastic bumper cover against my tire.
So I wasn’t going anywhere, and being rural Indiana it could be some time before someone drives by. I tried to use a tire iron to pry the plastic bumper cover away from the tire but the metal bumper frame wouldn’t allow it. The only other tool I had was my Leatherman Juice. So I opened up the saw and proceeded to saw away the plastic bumper cover and free my tire of the plastic debris. This gave my tire enough clearance that I could get back on the road. My Leatherman really saved me, who knows how long I could have been waiting there. Everybody should have a Leatherman in their glove box. Thanks for such a great tool.
