After owning an original Leatherman for 17 years, I decided to send it in for warranty. The knife blade of my original Leatherman just broke after using it around the house and other related maintenance tasks. It took only one week to received a replacement from the company. The company never asked any questions or refused to honor their warranty. This is truly an excellent American company that provides great tools and great service.
