Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.

Strange Power

I got my Leatherman as a birthday gift from a brother at work. I have been a Fire Fighter for 15 years with my current department. About my second year with the department my new bride decided to throw me a small party inviting some of the guys from work. I got a few gifts - which at the time I wasn't expecting any and feeling I was too old for gifts. (Thinking :  that's kids stuff) I was prompted to open my gifts in front of everyone; feeling uneasy, I did. Pretty cool stuff - I remember.

The one gift that actually brought a tear to my eye was the one my buddy got me... an Original PST. I noticed the Asst. Chief at work carried one and thought I should have one too... for work of course, but never said anything to anybody about it. I figured I'd save up for one after I had some extra money and eventually I'd have one. So maybe my buddy, my Fire Fighter Brother read my mind? Long story short, I have carried my PST everyday that I have gone to work since I received it. It has come in handy at work around the station and at emergency scenes since and it has also gone on every hunting, fishing or camping trip that I have gone on since then and will continue to do so.

Funny, every time I use it I think of my FF Brother even though he had moved on to a different career about a year after he gifted it. It's like there's a part of him with me going on calls still. Strange Power of the Leatherman.
