Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.

UK Telecoms Guy in Love with Wave

I bought my Wave 10 years ago from a shopping channel as a whim, thinking I would never use it. I carried it on my belt, expecting never to get it out the case. My work colleagues ridiculed it, making comments such as 'Robo-cop'. After a few weeks, however, I realized I was using it every day on several occasions. Also, whilst working with others, I was constantly lending it to them for little jobs, saving them a trip to get their full tool kits. The leg-pulling soon disappeared - then one of my colleagues came to work with a Wave on his belt! Before long, several had the same. A few tried cheap imitations but soon discarded them for the 'real McCoy' - especially when I got a free service after a year.

All these years later, I still use it daily. It's a bit battered and worn but will easily see my career out (I'm 46 now). I intend to give my son a Wave as his 18th birthday present - I can't think of a better gift that will last him a big chunk of his life.
