I have had Leatherman products in the past, but never realized its full potential until I was activated to service in Operation Enduring Freedom in Kandahar, Afghanistan. It was there that I purchased in the local PX/BX the "Crunch" model. I must tell you that you would not believe how many jams this tool has gotten me out of. It has probably saved my or other peoples lives in the process of using this fine tool such as holding battery wires to a broken terminal to be able to drive a vehicle to a safe location or pinching hydraulic lines to keep from leaking or really just--whatever- because I kid you not, I used this tool for everything from opening tuna-fish cans to vehicle and weapons maintenance. Unfortunately, someone else figured out this same potential of my Leatherman and it was stolen out of my car upon my returning to the states. My wife since then purchased the "Wave" model which is still great, but just isn’t the same as my "Crunch" I once had. I gotta tell you, that is one damn fine tool.
It clamps up to a 1-inch diameter pipe with its vise grips, and if you remove the adjusting screw, you'll find a hex-bit adapter built right in.
Our most popular model, with outside-accessible blades, bit driver, scissors, and wire cutters, all in a 100% stainless steel body.
