I am sure everyone is tired of more war stories, however I felt the need to express my appreciation. I just recently returned home from my first tour to Afghanistan as an Air Force EOD (Explosives Ordnance Disposal) technician. My wonderful girlfriend bought me one of your MUT EOD multi-tools just prior to my leaving. I threw it in my bag with my skeletool cx that I have been carrying around for years now, and headed off to excitement and opportunity. I wasn't in country for more than twelve hours before I had the opportunity to properly christen my new toy. I won't go into too much detail, however I will say that having the ability to cut and punch C, cut and prime det cord, scrape a hole in frozen rocky dirt, and spool out shock tube, all in one piece of equipment was awesome. It was small, lightweight, versatile, and durable. On a dismount, my MUT replaced 4 other pieces of gear, saving space and weight. There was not a day that went by that I didn't use either my MUT or skeletool at least a dozen times. I have to admit, I was not kind to them at all. Between my teammates and myself we abused the begeezus out of your products. The only maintenance I ever performed was to occasionally sharpen the knife blade, or hit it with a shot of WD-40. They held up like champs and did everything we asked of them every time. I am not just thankful, but grateful that you produce such a quality product and that my girlfriend purchased one for me when she did. My stateside shop has the opportunity to order any of a myriad of job specific multi-tools, and they all have their strengths. I can proudly state however, that not only does every member of my deployed team now own a MUT EOD, but now my shop plans to purchase them for all of us as well. Sincerest thanks and appreciation.
