I got my Leatherman Wave for Christmas '10 and since then have acquired a Skeletool, Kick, a Micra and a Monarch 400. Having all these tools might seem like a waste, but I've used every single one of them all for different things. The wave is my tried and true stand-by I keep on my belt every day, the kick is on my wildland gear for fires, the Micra is guarding my keys, the Skeletool rides under the seat of my bike, and the Monarch 400 stays with me when I'm out at night. Now, my girlfriend used to laugh at me for double or triple checking I had my Leatherman on me every time I left the house in case I would need it. I asked her one day if she wanted a Leatherman of her own and she said "Nope, my little swiss army knife is okay." When I bought my Micra I made sure to buy a second to replace her swiss army knife. 9 months after her birthday and what does she pull out of her pocket regularly to open packages? That's right. A Leatherman Micra. Who's laughing now? ;)
