Recently in the middle of a project my best friend had a catastrophic failure and became 50% useless; of course I am referring to my leatherman BLAST. I was disappointed to say the least since I have come to rely on this little wonder to be there with answers to every mechanical need. Having had leatherman before I knew that they had a great warranty so I got on the website and was prepared to beg for my friends repair and safe return; however the process was painless and simple. For the next week and a half I found myself reaching hopelessly for an item that was no longer in my pocket where it had lived since I can remember (since the head injury). Apparently leatherman knew this because it said so on the letter I received in the package with the NEW leatherman (What, are they mind readers now?), and to the staff at leatherman your apology is excepted however unnecessary. What you out there don't know since leatherman's rarely break is that leatherman is always improving there product and I can say this because the unit I received was not mine but a newer revised version in some subtle but important ways. The wire cutter had been improved, the blade was different (not sure about better, yet), the scissors where better made and the release latches where built more beefy than the last unit i had. This is America folks, these people are always seeking improvement in an item they have already sold you!!!! It makes me proud!! Thanks Guys your the best!
