I am a professional guide on the isle of Skye, Scotland. Last week I was out on a loch (lake) with a client from the U.S. It was at the end of the day and I was ready to head back to the boat shed. Approx 1.5 mile away in a strong wind and a good swell. My outboard started but the screw never turned. Further inspection revealed the prop pin had shattered. With no spare and not looking forward to a long row in a heavy swell, I was able to cut a peice of steel from the bend in my weigh scales and straighten it with my Leathernan CORE. It worked! And I was able to power us back to safety. There is no doubt that without the tool I would have been in serious trouble. I've carried a Leatherman for many years since my time in the military. A simply brilliant piece of essential kit. Thank you.
