Leatherman Wave, my first leatherman
Recently I acquired a Leatherman Wave together with a 42 bit accessory set. The Leatherman, being my first real high quality multitool, amazed me right from the start with the hign quality materials used and available tools. Seen the image of the tool as being virtually indistructable, I already performed some "tests" on it. For instance, I used the wire cutters to cut through a 1mm steel (not iron!) nail. Bending and cutting clothhangers is no problem at all. The knives are very sharp, you can literally shave yourself with the straight knife. The serrated one actually requires carefull handling, I think you can seriously injure yourself with it if you're not careful. But as a tool, it is unsurpassed for camping as it easily cuts through tough gas tubing. I'm not going to write about every available function on this tool, but let me say that none of them made me question its usefulness or quality. I'm now a proud and very convinced Leatherman owner :-) If I may suggest some interesting options, it would be a pouch with a clip-on system rather than the one that slides over your belt. Perhaps it would be nice that Leatherman would sell an accessory to sharpen the knives too.
