My son and I cabled and locked our cycle jackets and helmets to our motorcycles during a recent hiking trip. When we returned from the 8 mile hike at dark, much to our dismay, they key for the lock was gone! As we were in a national park after hours there were no facilities for assistance! Luckily, my son had his Leatherman with him. We worked together, manipulating the cable to present enough cable surface to enable the leatherman to cut through using the wirecutters on the jaws. Had we not had the Leatherman, or a lower grade multi tool, I would have been stranded in the forest!
