Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.

From From NICE TO HAVE to MUST HAVE in Ghana

I recently went on a two month medical aid trip to the Volta Region in Ghana and I had brought my Wave along as one of those "nice to have" items that might come in useful but I didn't expect to use often. Was I ever mistaken!
On my first night in country, I ended up using it three times! From cutting paracord to use as clothesline to fixing some of the chairs at the hospital, hardly a day went by where my Wave was not pressed into duty. One day, we went out to a small village about an hour and a half out of town to do health outreach. Unfortunately for us, it rained while we were there and it turned the dirt track (to call it a "road" would be too generous) into a slick, muddy quagmire. At one point we were hopelessly stuck. Wave to the rescue!

We used the saw to cut some branches down to fill in the trenches the tires were making and it worked beautifully. One of the local staff commented when he first saw the saw blade that "it's going take a year to cut that down", only to be very impressed when the saw cut through everything we threw at it with ease. Thank you for making such a great tool!

My Wave has definitely become a "must have" item for all future trips. P.S. Having a bottle opener was great, as unlike back home, everything comes in a glass bottle over there.
