Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.

I started out with your standard Leatherman tool maybe 15 years ago. I don't know if they had names then, but something happened to that tool; it just disappeared. So I went to the local camping store to buy a new one. OK, I admit it, I strayed. I bought a Gerber multi-tool. What a mistake - it pinched my hand at every squeeze! So, what do I know? I bought a SOG. Another mistake - very hard to use. Since I had started with a Leatherman, I didn't know it was the best until I strayed from the path. The Super Tool solved all these problems.

Oops! I then forgot to check it on a return flight from overseas. Some German customs inspector is probably cutting his strudel with it on an Alpine hike as we speak! So, back to the store - now I have a Super Tool 200 (now retired) which I wear to this day. People that know me just say "give me your tool"; they count on me to have it on my belt.
