Leatherman Saved My Life

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.

I'm a Believer

Hate is a strong word. I hate "multi-tools". They never work quite right. They are always heavy and awkward to use if you can even open them. I refused to carry around a half functional piece of scrap metal that calls itself a "tool".

I work in the IT field where we always need the one small tool you never have in your work bag. That makes for a frustrating day of back and forth. I had heard the name Leatherman, but always associated it with the "multi" crowd. That is, until I was given a WAVE as a gift. I was skeptical at first, but decided to throw it on my belt one day before work. My WAVE has become part of my morning routine. In my year of ownership I have not gone a single work day without some use of my WAVE. Tight spaces or something that requires muscle, the Leatherman never disappoints. With the addition of my bit kit and extender my tool bag has been reduced to that little black and yellow nylon sheath that resides on my belt.

I want to personally say thank you to everyone at Leatherman for ALWAYS saving me in a pinch. Here's to putting the TOOL back in multi-TOOL, and to making me a believer!
