Putting My Problem to Bed

Well, my problem is the apartment complex I live in is very strict in most respects. Ever so often we have inspection to make sure everything is up to speed and in good enough condition to "pass inspection".

Well, on this occasion I don’t know if the inspector was having a bad day or what. He goes into my two sons’ room and he said the bunk bed was in the way and could be in the way in case of a fire. I'm kind of looking and I think there is plenty of room for somebody to get out the window in case of fire, but he's the boss. He told me he would be back in a few days, so it needed to be taken care of and if it wasn’t the process of starting eviction would occur (as I said a very strict apartment complex).

The problem was this . . . I looked and looked and pliers weren’t anywhere to be found. We had a few pair, but when you have two boys constantly fixing their bikes and such your tools suddenly get lost in the Bermuda triangle. So I grab my Leatherman Super Tool 200, hand my 15 year old son my Leatherman Kick, and away we go! Within 20 minutes the bunk bed that had stood in the same spot for over six years was just a big pile of metal. We cleared all of it out and got new beds for our sons.

Just as he promised, a few days passed and the knock came at the door; the inspector was here. He looked in the room and was more than satisfied. All I can say is thank you Leatherman for being there for me because when all is said and done my Super Tool 200 and my Kick saved us from losing our home.
