What’s Lost is Found & It's Back Home!!!
Hi all, I received my Leatherman Juice this past summer. A Birthday gift from my husband. He had it engraved with several special words.
This is my story ..........
Once received, a day did not pass with out the use of my beloved Leatherman. Until.........one dreadful day, in a rush leaving the hockey rink I lost it. I thought maybe it had been dropped in the dressing room. I was not from the town in which it had been lost. I was off to a concert that same evening and I could not drive back immediately to search for it. Teary eyed I got on the phone and in ten minutes I called everyone I could possibly think of. Everyone in the rink, parents from the team, no one had it. It was lost and I thought gone forever.
Days passed, a week, even a month. I had not forgotten about my Leatherman. I did look into replacing it; I waited. We had driven back to that same Hockey Rink for several games, every time I would scan the parking lot in hopes of a big find. Each time I walked in the door, the canteen crew would ask if I found it. My reply, “no”, asking in return two questions, “did you find it, have you heard anything?” Nope, no.
Last night I was informed that someone had a FOUND article in the little town paper. Oh my gosh, could it be my knife? Wasting no time we located the paper, found the number, called, identified, promptly drove over and picked it up. It was so wonderful to have it back in hand!!! Huge hugs and many thanks, I drove home with a huge smile.
A woman found it just at the edge of town, during her morning walk. The case it a little tattered, probably from the gravel road. The knife is still in wonderful condition; I am still shaking out a few particles of sand and back to using it every day.
What a wonderful feeling to have found what was lost!
Thanks to everyone involved,
