On the Road Again
A few days ago my wife’s car battery died so I replaced it with a new one. But, while I was putting the cables back on, the nut for the negative got striped and I couldn't tighten it very well but I thought it was good enough. Well the day before yesterday my wife, 2 month old and I were coming home from Tulsa, OK on the Turnpike going through Muskogee when my wife decides that she really needs to use the bathroom. So I take the next exit off and pull into the first gas station I see.
Now for some reason all its lights, including the sign outside, was on but the store was closed. However by that point I had already killed the car and when I went to start the car, guess what? Yep, it wouldn't start. So now we’re stuck in a bad part of town by ourselves at 11:00 at night; this is bad. So now I am thinking it wasn't the battery that was bad. So I pop the hood and I went to jiggle the cables on the battery. YES! It turns out to just be a loose cable. I try to just hand tighten it but that didn't work.
I had no tools with at all, but I did have my BLAST with me, so I pulled it out and was able to tighten the cable and start the car and get the heck out of there. Thank goodness I had my Leatherman with me; things could have turned out really bad if I hadn't.
Also, now my wife, her mom, and sister won't pick on me for always carrying it with me every where I go, and after that night I am for sure not going anywhere without it.

P.S. I was able to find a restroom for my wife. Thank You Leatherman, I love this tool!
