A Night Impounded
Well, I was pulled over by the police on December 12th. Apparently my insurance bills were not paid as I had thought they were by my loving girlfriend.
Just before I was left on the sidewalk to watch my car go away, I thought about bringing my Leatherman. I had a 40 mile walk back to Portsmouth, NH and thought I might need a survival tool. Instead, I placed the tool in my center console, which has no lock. It’s a Hyundai – what do you expect?
No one was at the location which was in the middle of the city in a secluded run down area when I picked up the car the following day at 5PM. There was a gate that was locked, but everything around the gate was wide open. To top it off my car had been left unlocked.
The Leatherman was gone. I did not realize this until I was home. I got a bucket and unloaded everything form the car. Everything. It wasn't there. I even stripped the house looking for it. No where. It was a Super Tool 200 with a leather case, gift from my father who has since passed on. Maybe the person, who thought they needed it more than I, will cut himself…badly.
