Impressed with My Skeletool CX!

I received a Leatherman Skeletool as a 40th birthday gift after many, many hints, and it has really exceeded my expectations! I knew that it would be a good product because I have used my Micra for many things and been impressed with it.

I am an obsessive photographer in addition to being very hands-on in my garden. The Skeletool CX is with me all of the time because I find it has all of the right tools for most of the jobs that I need done without me having to carry a lot of bulk around that I probably won't use.

When out in the field the Skeletool has already seen extensive use for cutting away vegetation that gets in the way of a good photographic composition. It is good to know that I also have an on-hand practical way of solving any issues that come up with my tripod needing tightening or adjusting with the pliers or screwdriver bits. I plan on adding the socket/hex bits to increase this functionality. The sharp knife blade has already been used on a number of occasions to remove thorns and other splinters that end up getting lodged under my skin when I move through the bush.

In the garden, the pliers have already served me well to tighten and loosen the bolts on my lawnmower handle that I need to assemble each time I want to use it. The soft wire cutters have also seen regular use for cutting new weed eater line for the edge trimmer.

I can't imagine a more useful tool and one that I want to have with me all of the time! I really like its appearance as well.
