The Chair That Had To Split
One day I was visiting with some friends when they brought my attention to an old chair that they where trying to get rid of in one of the back bedrooms. Now this chair was more like a love seat, with big thick cushions and a solid wood frame including the back. I really don’t know how it wound up in the bedroom. It would be like trying to fit a square peg through a round hole, and that’s exactly what it would be like trying to get the darn thing out! Not to mention that they had painted recently.
My friend had mentioned that it would be so much easier if it was in two pieces. That’s when it hit me! Yes, the old light bulb above the head was bright! After sizing this job up, I reached to my side and pulled out my trusty Leatherman Charge TTi and, with Leatherman in hand, I proclaimed that I would have this chair in two pieces in no time! I’m sure you can imagine the look I got on my friends face, but to her surprise, after a lot of cutting, sawing and some snipping, about 20 or so min., and a bunch of sawdust later, the chair was in two. It was then easily removed from the room, out of the house, and to the curb side for the hook to retrieve. Thanks Leatherman for always being by my side ready to assists in any job, big or small!
