Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.

Back and Decker Saver

I work in a retirement community and many of the 400 plus residents here own the Black and Decker bottle opener. The instructions clearly state bottles ONLY. Well, when a can is placed in this glorious contraption, the opener descends on the object and begins to turn the top off. In the case of cans it binds right up, and won't back off. The opener will not release until it completes a cycle. So I get the call to get the can out! I take the opener to a sink away from the appartment, use my Wave saw to cut the can near the top which allows the opener to "back off". I clean off the opener and remove the metal from the peaches or pears and yes folks I eat the contents of the can before I return the opener.
