"Come on guys! Is this a general purpose fixed blade or is this a cooking knife? I don’t think this was tested very much for cooking, or their testers don’t mind scraping their knuckles every time they slice to the heel of the blade. And since the blade has a flat profile you pretty much need to slice to the heel to get a complete cut. If the handle was tilted upward slightly (or had a higher blade height) to give proper knuckle clearance, I would’ve bought two of them. Instead I’ll be returning mine. The poor design is pretty inexcusable considering you’re paying almost $300 for a 4 inch blade. It better be well thought out and have good ergonomics for that price. Otherwise, the materials and build quality are awesome. I look forward to the revision of this knife."
"I was hesitant to spend so much on a knife. But I like to try to support American companies making products in America with American employees. The magnate blade is incredibly sharp! I will be buying another one of this collection. Most likely the Trac. Having the option to customize with engraving is nice. I don’t care for the fancy designs but I like putting my last name on them Incase they get lost. The only complaint I had with the whole purchase was the wait time. It was over a month. I believe there isn’t a wait time anymore."
"I love this knife. I have another Santoku knife that is much bigger and too heavy to use comfortably. The Rustle is smallish, but very substantial and comfortable to use. It was very sharp out of the package and my first experience with a Magnacut blade. I've had it for awhile, now, and so far the edge is retaining its sharpness. It is a pretty knife, and very well-made. I like the jimping on the spine, and the way it clicks securely into the sheath. It's become my go-to kitchen knife, but I also like that it's robust enough to handle outside food prep."
"A knife with this blade shape I would normally use with a pinch grip. I think for my purposes the handle is approximately 1/2” too long and weighted a little far back. The pinch is not comfortable because of the forward shape of handle. Overall I found it beautiful and well made, but I will not use it."
