Great tool that needs a bit of breaking in

"I really love the the skeletool rx the serrated blade will go through anything. The only small gripe I have is that it was extremely rough to open and close once I received it. I have cleaned the lubed the joints a couple of times and have opened and closed it quite a bit and it is breaking in. Tolerance is tight but it’s breaking in fine. Great everyday tool 👍"

Higher price for lower quality

"When I compare my new 2026 Skeletool RX to my 2015 Skeletool CX, it’s immediately obvious that cost cutting measures have been taken, resulting in an overall lower quality tool for twice the price (I paid $50. 72 for the 2015 Skeletool CX brand new only 10 years ago). Several YouTubers comment on this, but the sloppiness in the finish, the cheaper materials used, and the bits of paint already coming off are a little shocking for a multitool of this price. Even the highly marketed virtues of the 154CM blade look different. I wonder if it will perform as well as the old CX or if it will prove to be something else. Now I understand why so many LM fans are disappointed. The whole experience has made me appreciate the long standing and consistent quality of my SAKs a lot more."

My favorite Skeletool!

"I own quite a few multitools, including the Arc, but I primarily carry the Skeletool. I wanted this one primarily because of the color. I found this unique knife blade particularly useful for opening up packages. This thing is no joke."

But the beltclip

"I am making this review on the third one of these I have bought. The tool is excellent at its purpose, the aggressive blade will shred through rope and other tough materials, the screwdriver works very well. The most used feature honestly is the bottle opener. My only complaint is the belt clip which is very weak. I regularly end up on my back for work and it’s is constantly falling off even for something as simple as the comfy movie theater seats. I would highly recommend using the belt pouch as I will be in the future."

"Blade is sharp and pliers work as they should. it doesn’t have much retention on the driver bits. The clip is weak, It fell out on my pocket constantly when running around and I lost it because of it."
