"I really do not use a sharpener in the field and have never had need for one. I sharpen at home. But if I did this one would work on the half serrations - half plain knife blade. I wish the accessory was something else like a bit holder or tweezers or scissors. I use it as backup just in case I get lost for a month or so in dire circumstances (Ha). . . . . . . . .
