With advanced FREE® technology, ARC delivers smooth, one-handed access to every tool even the pliers—no fingernails required. Magnetic architecture allows each feature to open effortlessly, lock confidently, and snap shut with a satisfying click.
ARC is the first multi-tool to feature MagnaCut® steel—delivering outstanding edge retention, blade strength, and corrosion resistance in one advanced material. Every detail—from the blade to the finishes—is selected for maximum durability and long-term performance.
ARC was built with the tool set our fans asked for—focused on versatility, performance, and real-world utility. It includes both large and small bit drivers for on-the-go adjustments, a diamond-coated file for smoothing and precision work, and large scissors that are outside accessible.
ARC is built to last—and made to stand out. Whether it’s the ultra-durable Cerakote® handles of ARC Talos or the DLC-coated stainless steel of the original ARC, every finish is selected for long-lasting performance, corrosion resistance, and timeless style. No matter which you choose, ARC is ready for a lifetime of use.

The ARC multi-tool is highly praised for its smooth operation, high quality, and durable MagnaCut blade. Customers appreciate its excellent design and solid feel, making it a top choice for both daily tasks and outdoor jobs. However, some noted issues with the sheath and wire cutters.

"Aircraft mechanic here. I bought this tool after seeing several guys at work using it and loving it. It’s super fun to play with but the pliers broke with light use within the first month. Now I have to go without for about 4 weeks while it’s warrantied. I’ll also add that you are responsible for the cost of shipping it to them (though they were nice enough to cover that as a courtesy). Overall disappointed with the quality and customer service considering the cost."
"I love the tool and the free technology. The black coated blade is already losing its finish. I have only used it to open envelopes and not much. The finish on the entire tool is good looking but with pocket carry I am already seeing it coming off."
"I purchased this Leatherman ARC from the verified Leatherman Official Shop on TikTok. Unfortunately, the tool I received does not feel like the other ARC I previously handled. The opening and closing action is much rougher, and the pliers do not feel as smooth or as well finished. I was also disappointed that neither the MagnaCut blade nor the plier head has a “USA” marking. One of the main reasons I chose Leatherman was its American manufacturing reputation, so the missing markings make me question where these important parts were made. To make matters worse, the tool arrived without the sheath, even though a premium multitool like the ARC should come complete with all included accessories. For a tool at this price, I expected much better quality control, smoother operation, clear country-of-origin markings, and a complete package. I am contacting Leatherman and will update this review depending on how they handle the issue."
"No bits and no holster. Had to buy separately. 3/5 for going cheap. Not only that, the packaging reminded me of a $12 tool not a $250 one. Always heard cool things about leatherman but for my first purchase im not exactly thrilled. May go up to a 4 if the tool itself impresses me enough to remember to come back."
"I have a lot of Leatherman tools. The one I like most was the Free P4. I lost my current P4. I ordered the ARC as it's replacement since the P4 seemed to be discontinued. I have no regrets. It's definitely a refined version of the Free. It addressed any shortcomings with a really nice bland of improvements related to fasteners. It retains the one handed accessibility which is very important to me for a daily carry Leatherman."
"So I get the Arc as my first one, as i was debating this or the wave plus. Im very happy I chose the arc although im sure i would have said that about the wave + too. These tools are just amazing and really do come in handy at the moment you need it. I had to help a friend move and i brought it along just incase. Ended up having to disassemble a bed, and luckily the bits i bought with this fit the bed and we were able to finish. Honestly the one handed use is awesome and fun to open. The quality is also amazing. Im extremely happy with my purchase."
"Have a 50$ Bond leatherman, have absolutely put it through the ringer and nothing has broke on it. Bought an Arc and was removing a rivet with the pliers and the tip broke. Point being im not sure how a 50$ tool outperforms a 250$ tool."
"I work in the trades and I always carry a pocket knife on me. I was opposed to multi-tools for some time however, when I was shown the ARC by a Leatherman employee/friend (Ben Meyer) I knew it was the right choice. I use it every day and I do not miss anything about my previous knife. Outstanding quality and practical everyday use! I own my own low-voltage AV business in Boise, ID and I will be standardizing behind this tool for my company employees."
"I used to have a SuperTool300 as my primary every-day multi-tool, until I got this new tour-de-force of a Leatherman! It's superior to my old one in just about every conceivable way, and lots of modernizations and new features to widen that gap further."
"I really like the quality and tools included with the unit. It is still taking some getting used to, having been a Gerber user for 25 years. The “interior” tools (screwdrivers) are hard to extract. The scissors are good, but not great. Knife is excellent and pliers are good. The sheath (separate purchase) is just OK. It could fit better and feel more secure."
