"I like the versatility of this product. The black coating scratches easily. The first time I used it, I set it on my truck console. Just from bouncing around on the road for an hour covered the entire tool in silver scratches.Would have been nice if that was noted before ordering. For the cost of this tool, the coating should be more durable."

"Only inspected the exterior for customized laser etching but will go over it after some use when available to do so, the scissors on my Surge got loose but not too concerned yet, might gracefully smack pivot point with a hammer"

Amazing but scissors

"It came in looking great was even better than the original one I had but when I received it, the scissors do not spring open. I do not know what’s wrong with it, but the quality of the tool is fantastic. I’m still happy with it. I just wish I could get the scissors to work."

Good multitool but doesn’t worth $200+

"This multitool came out of the box stiff and grimy, the first few things I have to do after getting a brand new $200+ multitool is to cleaning and loosening it up, there’s something that isn’t right. For $200+ I expect this to be ready to use and in perfect condition, not a paperweight that discourage me from using it because it doesn’t function smoothly."

"I’ve received a lot of tools from other brands and I can say that Leatherman has one of the lowest quality I’ve seen. I was undecided between this brand and Gerber and can say that Gerber is exceptionally better. First and last tool I buy from Leatherman"

Didn't realize how much I'd use it

"Ive owned Leatherman before but lost them over the years. I tried other brands but wasn't as comfortable with them as I am with Leatherman. Finally bought the Surge and the extras. I began actively using it the first week! Friends are asking to borrow it randomly so now I dont leave home without it."
