"I've had a few multitools for EDC and tasks. This Wave + is everything I need on a daily basis and sometimes I don't even carry my knife on certain days because of this blade. Best Leatherman ever the Wave

"I have owned Leatherman tools for over thirty years. The early ones were relatively inexpensive—something that has unfortunately changed over the years. Even so, it is the best tool I own, and I use it almost every day. I never leave the house without my Leatherman; when I fly somewhere with only carry-on luggage, I mail it to my destination ahead of time and have it sent back afterward. I used to buy and give away a lot of Micras, but unfortunately, they have become too expensive. I can understand that to some extent, though, as both material and labor costs have risen. I also bought a Leatherman Charge years ago for $120. For many years, it was my companion on the job—first as a truck driver and later in building maintenance. It is durable and incredibly versatile."

Where's The Sheath?

"I bought a couple personalized Wave multitools as gifts. There was no sheath, to my surprise. I've been buying Waves as gifts for years and never gotten one without. I've been buying Leatherman tools since day one. I still have an original Leatherman multitool. Every tool I have every gotten from Leatherman came with a sheath. I don't know when they got cheap and stopped including them. It made my gifts feel cheap."

My second one.

"I bought my second Wave+ because I donated my original one. I absolutely loved the quality of the first one the new one seems like it has just a bit of play which worries me, but so far so good. Second thing is that the interchangeable screw driver piece is lower quality it’s a different metal than 4 years ago and it just bothers me a little. Over all still very pleased with the quality and the tool itself."
