Knife is awesome with only 1 flaw. . .

"The knife itself is good looking and well made. I really like it. Just a week engineered and built knife. The only flaw is the sheath. It's also of high quality, but it simply doesn't fit the design of this knife. You can literally pull the knife out of the sheath while it's buckled in. I strap this knife on a hunting back pack for long hikes, and to correct the issue, the knife luckily has a lanyard loop. . . So, I tied some parachord through the lanyard loop and fixed it to the sheath, which precludes the knife from moving. Even with the disappointment of the sheath, I still give it 5 stars bc r knife is that good. . . And even with other knives that have better fitting sheaths, I still secure those knives in the same fashion."

Knife - YES, Sheath - NO

"The knife gets 5 stars absolutely! I'd give more if I could - Magnacut, blade thickness, balance, jimping, finish. . . everything is A+. The sheath gets 1 star. As leather sheaths go, this one isn't great. This knife screams for a kydex sheath! A good kydex sheath with decent attachment options and this becomes the gold standard for fixed blade tacticals."

"I mean look it’s a decent piece of kit and the sheath is nicely made, but ridiculously, you can pull the knife right out of the sheath without unbuckling it. Super dangerous flaw, pretty disappointing to be honest."

Expectations and price point.

"If a tool truck brand made a knife, this is probably it. The sheath is made in Mexico and while pretty, it's useless with any belt thicker than a single nylon webbing. The knife feels good and doesn't feel like it's going to break on you. The handle needs checkering, way too smooth. The shape takes time to get used to, but is nimble in the hand while working. Edge retention is better than a lot, but gives out quicker than you'd expect at the price point. I'm hoping the warranty proves the price point worth it just like with tool truck tools."

My new #1 EDC blade

"I love this knife. I have taken it hunting and fishing and I take it everywhere. The quality of the magnacut blade, the hollow grind shape, and the jimping are amazingly well crafted. I love the Alpine color of the grip, which is now slightly brown due to the red dirt in areas I've used it. I know knife shape and aesthetics are a personal preference, and for me it is perfection. I also have the Garage Harvest and Malloy Special knives from Leatherman, and to me the Trac is the best overall size and shape for everyday use. From cutting gills on kawakawa on the boat, to processing an Axis deer on Moloka'i a few weeks ago, to cutting open fresh Liliko'i straight off the vine, this knife is my #1."
