Worth the price for the toolset I wanted

"The file rubs on the scales slightly. Took a while to break in but the implements work well. A little messy at first too cuz of the black oxide. Knife was sharp out of the box, but when cutting wood, the handle is a bit uncomfortable for long periods of time. Don’t like the lanyard ring just floating around and coming out when I use anything in that handle. Otherwise, looks great, works great, and a really fun first Leatherman."

Unsatisfactory product and poor support

"I have been using Leathermans for the past 30 years, historically their customer service has been amazing and their warranty has been great. Recently, however, I purchased a new alpha wave for a friend, and I spent a lot of time creating a custom image. The fee for the custom image was $25, and of course it becomes an unreturnable item. I was told it would look exactly like it does in the rendering, however, when I receive the product, there was significant scratch on the blade. When I reached out to customer support, they just told me that there was nothing they could do, because it was part of the engraving process. When I suggested just replacing the blade which I would install myself, I was told that they can’t guarantee a better outcome. I feel like I have no recourse for a product I’m not happy with, and don’t feel comfortable, giving it as a gift because I’m not proud of the end result. Sadly, leatherman doesn’t have my support anymore."

Only one tiny complaint. . .

"I do love my new Leatherman, great color, great functionality, everything works great. . . except the scissors are REALLY not sharp. Like, I wasn't expecting to be able to cut fabric with them, but even paper folded sideways rather than be cut. I'll sharpen them one of these days but it's a hassle I wasn't expecting to deal with. But it's a fairly minor complaint in the grand scheme of things. I'd still buy it again if I lost this one."
