"This will be my second Leatherman Surge after unfortunately losing my first one. This tool has been great for EDC, especially as a welder, which is my primary use for it. The Surge really helps reduce the number of individual tools I need to carry and puts a lot of useful functions into one compact, dependable tool. I also have the Rebar and Wave Plus, but I primarily reach for the Surge because I use it for just about everything on the job. For me, it’s one of those tools that is a must have to carry on you every day."

Good, but wears faster than expected

"I'm really enjoying the Surge. It's beefy and much more solid than my other Leathermans. My only concern us the needle nose pliers. I bent a couple of wires and the teeth are already starting to chip. Still functions but I didn't see this wear on my other ones (Sidekick, Charge, Free P2)"

I figured that for his promotion to VP, I would get him the Surge; my daughter said he just loves it.
