"As a submarine sailor the Leatherman multitools replaced the old TL-29 + small pliers as EDC back in the 1980's. When Leatherman's Wave and Charge models came out, along with these mini-bit kits, the combination became unbeatable as EDC gear during my later career as a field engineer. Also invaluable to me almost daily when riding and touring on motorcycles. My European associates, in business and liesure settings, had never seen anything like this combination.
