Garage Batch #009: Adapter is designed to work alongside your multipurpose tool while giving you a smarter way to carry the tools and parts your project requires.
Its 3-way ratcheting system allows forward, reverse, and locked positions, so you can keep turning without constantly repositioning the driver. The folding architecture provides three working configurations: straight for extended reach, 90 degrees for leverage, or fully closed for compact ratchet use and pocket carry.
At the opposite end, a threaded metal cap secures a modular cache storage system. The Adapter includes a precision insert with a T-shank wood saw, T-shank file, and double-ended bits. The storage cavity can also be configured to carry spare hardware, hobby tools, sharpening gear, or small repair kits.
Because the cache works with standard bits and T-shank accessories, it functions as a flexible carry system for the tools and parts you choose to bring with you.
A pen and micro screwdriver are integrated for small adjustments, and the tool can be carried on its own with a pocket clip or lanyard, or alongside your multipurpose tool.

"There sure is a lot of crybabying about not getting emails. Sounds like a you problem and not LTG… however! Here’s a review of the tool for you. I just got mine a few days ago, I rather like it… definitely needs some fit and finish adjustments if it were to be mass produced. I did put a pocket clip from my Free P4 on the 009, but the original mounting screws WILL NOT work. However I had some screws from an R/C Cars front differential that are very similar just double the length and are course thread they worked perfectly. All I need to do now is polish the rough metal and I think I’ll be good to go. I do think for the price it should have come with a pocket clip installed. I’m rather surprised how much I’ve already used it. Definitely needs a way to carry more than two bits. But overall a neat concept."
"I appreciated the exploration toward screwdrivers. 1/4 in. ratcheting driver + t shank is a very functional tool especially with storage. It was VERY reasonably priced considering the accessories. I understand the concern for the plastic prints as they lack durability, but the titanium print does not appear to share the same weakness. I think a metal iteration of this prototype would be unique and popular."
"Very compact ratcheting bit driver with onboard file and saw is a nice addition to my capabilities when I’m traveling light. Pen is a little difficult to use with how small it is, but the eyeglass screwdriver is nice."
". . . . can you please listen? Please focus on developing new products that are available to everyone anytime. Seriously, you should do better. Releasing new colors of a product is fine but that does not make it a new product. These garage releases are extremely frustrating when those are the only new products coming out. It is becoming more appearant with each new product that your goal is no longer offering a great tool for everyday use but rather developing limited expensive collectors items."
"Its pretty rough not what you'd expect but cool little tool, i just added it to the collection The titanium is rough and scraps against the plastic, noticeably wearing down the handle where it pivots"
"Other reviews seem to focus on the email notifications coming after the recent garage releases have already dropped. The initial emails come several days ahead of the release date with all the release details and it’s easy enough to set a reminder to purchase the tools on the day of. The toolset is very handy for use around the house. It feels solid in the hand. Construction quality is good. Some have complained about the print quality of the bit/T-shank holder, but it’s a passive part that performs its function just fine. The joint also has some cosmetic wear already from the plastic in contact with the rougher metal portion, but I’m not convinced this would ever get to the point of being a structural issue. The t-shank “adapter” Is a really neat design that hold the tools more solidly than I had expected. There is still some plan in the file and saw when installed, but I wouldn’t expect that to impact functionality. This is the type of innovation I’d like to see more of with the Garage division."
"No notification of upcoming release, hard to find organized garage information on the site and it changes so often. Again Ebay scalpers grabbed all available items and selling for 2x to 3x leatherman release price. can you limit these "Limited Edition Garage Releases to 1 per customer so the Loyal Customers get a chance to acquire the pieces. Also, received a Case # notification Leatherman which stated it would look into why no notification was received for the upcoming release. No response from leatherman on the "Case #" as yet."
"You know this is a good tool when all the one star reviews are just people complaining that they didn't get one. loving mine so far! keep it up leatherman."
"It sold out super quick? That's strange! I can't wait to buy it on eBay for double or triple. Seriously, I really love Leatherman products and it's such a shame I never can seem to get a garage release. I totally missed out on Captain Crunch, which I'm trying to get on eBay for double the cost. I wish they made more so that stock would last a full day or two. Oh, well, I'll try to get this one in a year off eBay for double. :("
"Ok had some doubt on this , just wanted to score a garage sale , but this thing is incredible, wicked kew , i luv it"
