Great fit but.....

"I find this Large leather sheath for my surge Leatherman is great and will last a long time. Funny enough, I left the sheath in my lunch box in the sun for several hours at work one day and my surge easily comes out and sits in place when put back now. Originally the fit was really tight. My one complaint is the belt loop. Having to remove my belt in order to remove the sheath with tool in it feels a bit annoying. Having buttons that snap like the front or possible a clip could be nice alternative but then you'd run into the sheath not feeling so comfortable. I guess that's the tradeoff."

Leatherman Heritage Sheath

"The stitching on the upper portion of the belt loop strap came apart, causing tool and sheath to fall to ground. Fortunately I was in an area to retrieve both tool and sheath. I recommend using a stronger stitch for top and bottom belt loop strap."

Threads on pouch failed.

"Bought the brown leather pouch for my trusty leatherman 300 and was pleased until today when the holder and tool fell off my belt. The thread that was used to sew the belt loop to the pouch failed. These were once riveted on."
